The purpose of Maine Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) is to bring together Maine nutrition and physical activity organizations that serve schoolchildren with the goal of raising healthy children. In order to do this, Maine AFHK coordinates and shares state-wide resources and information with parents, teachers, students, community members and partners. Maine AFHK is one of 51 Action for Healthy Kids state teams. The mission of AFHK is to engage diverse organizations, leaders, and volunteers in actions that foster sound nutrition and good physical activity in children, youth, and schools.
